How to: Select text, paragraph, multiple paragraphs, or slides in Outline
view.
Solution:
NOTE: In 'Outline' view, each icon represents
a slide.
1) To select text, drag the cursor over the desired text. (The
text is highlighted.)
2) To select a single paragraph, click on the icon preceding
the desired paragraph. (The icon and paragraph are highlighted.)

3) To select multiple paragraphs:
a) Click
on the icon preceding the first paragraph desired in the selection. (The
icon and paragraph are highlighted.)
b) Press and hold down SHIFT.
c) Click on the icon preceding the last paragraph desired in
the selection. (All paragraphs between the first and last, inclusive, are
highlighted.)
4) To select a single slide, click on the icon of the desired slide.
(The icon and text are highlighted.)
5) To select a range of slides:
a) Click on the icon of the first slide desired in the selection.
(The icon and text are highlighted.)
b) Press and hold down SHIFT.
c) Click on the icon for the last slide desired in the selection.
(All slides between the first and last, inclusive, are highlighted.)
